The Kid is Twelve!

Twelve years ago, this kid brought his sunshine into our lives at 12:49pm. I know I’ve talked about that number before.

Last night, before he fell asleep, I hugged him and said, “Happy last night as an eleven year old.”

“What time will I be officially twelve?” he asked.

I said, “Well, technically, at 12:49pm, but when you wake up in the morning, you will be twelve.”

“Oh, right, 1-2-4-9. Is that why you like that number?” he asked.

“Yup,” I said, “The very best day of my life.”

“I know, I know,” he responded.

“What? Have I told you that before?” I smiled.

“Only every day.”

We giggled.
